Meet Our Team
Emily Kotlarek
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
-
I love spending time outdoors—whether it’s camping, exploring up north near Hancock, or simply enjoying nature’s beauty. A fun fact about me is that I have a twin brother!
Working at Lakewood and in senior care is truly fulfilling. The most rewarding part of my role is knowing that I’m making a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents and their families. Being part of a community that values compassion and care is something I deeply appreciate.
Jamie Hickmann
COMMUNITY RELATIONS MANAGER
-
Jamie is a healthcare veteran who has been in the field since 2009. Jamie has a passion working with seniors and their families to help them find their next step in their life.
On her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband (Tyler), daughter (Brynlee) and dog (Nala). A fun fact about her is that she participates in Triathlons, 5K runs and loves working out. On the weekends, you can often hear Jamie talking about her adventures up north on the trails in their side-by-side RZR. She always says, "the muddier the better!"
What I love most about working at Lakewood is the strong sense of community and the meaningful relationships I get to build with our residents and their families. Being part of their lives is truly rewarding,
Chloe Tesch

I’m an artist with a passion for oil painting, specially creating portraits of people—they’re my favorite subject to capture. I also enjoy reading classic literature in my free time. A fun fact about me: I served as president of the Chi Omega Sorority during college, which helped shape my leadership skills and love for community.
What I enjoy most about working at Lakewood is the strong sense of connection—with both the residents' families and my fellow team members. It truly feels like a second home.
Lauren Bogovich
LIFE ENRICHMENT DIRECTOR
-
In my free time, I am a head coach for youth cheerleading, which is such a fun and rewarding experience. I also love to cook and bake—especially when I get to share what I make with friends and family. A fun fact about me: I was born in Germany!
What I love most about working at Lakewood is the meaningful relationships I build with our residents. Being able to bring joy to their day and be a small part of their lives is something I truly cherish.
Jennifer Berczy
RN ADMINISTRATOR

I played college soccer, which taught me teamwork and dedication. I love spending time outdoors and enjoy cooking for my family. Coaching my kids’ soccer teams is a special way I share my passion for the sport.
Working in senior care is deeply rewarding because I get to know each resident’s unique story. As a nurse, it’s an honor to provide compassionate care and support to those I serve.
Edil Baez

I enjoy fishing and kayaking whenever I can, and I also like working on motorcycles and playing video games.
What I appreciate most about working at Lakewood is spending time with the residents each day. Their involvement and support create meaningful connections that benefit us both.
